How to setup Keep2Share with JDownloader 2

No more captchas, no waiting timers, and full resume for interrupted downloads. Here’s exactly what I did.

Step 1: Install JDownloader 2 (if you haven’t)

Download from jdownloader.org. The installation is straightforward – just click next. I recommend the “without ads” option if you can.

Step 2: Open the Account Manager

In JD2, go to Settings → Account Manager. You’ll see a list of added accounts (probably empty).

Step 3: Add a new account

Click the “Add” button (bottom left). A window pops up.

For “Host”, type: keep2share.cc

For “Username”, enter your Keep2Share login email or username.

For “Password”, enter your Keep2Share password.

Step 4: Verify premium status

After clicking OK, JD2 will check the credentials. If you have an active premium plan, you’ll see a green checkmark and “Premium” status. If it shows “Free” or “Invalid”, double-check your login or upgrade first.

JDownloader 2 works best when your Keep2Share Premium account is active. Without Premium, you may still see captcha, waiting time, or limited resume support.

Step 5: Start downloading

That’s it! Now any Keep2Share link you add to JD2 will download instantly, with no captchas, no waiting, and full resume support. You can also set max parallel downloads per file in the settings.

💡 Tip from my use: If you have a Premium Pro or Max account, go to Settings → Advanced Settings → GeneralSettings.maxsimultaneousdownloads and increase the number (e.g., 5-10). JD2 will then download multiple files at once.

🔄 Troubleshooting: If JD2 still asks for captchas, your premium might have expired or you haven’t added the account correctly. Restart JD2 after adding – sometimes it needs a refresh.
